National Park Service rangers with Cape Hatteras National Seashore said an empty home on Ocean Drive in Rodanthe, N.C. collapsed into the water on the afternoon of May 10, 2022. The National Park Service said it was the second home at the Seashore to fall into the Atlantic Ocean on that date. It became the third house on Ocean Drive in a matter of months to collapse on OBX.
